Every example of "I succeeded by breaking the rules" needs to be served alongside five examples of "I broke the rules and got absolutely blasted" for a startup advice blog/book/podcast to not be considered irresponsible. Survivorship bias is incredibly strong.

If we're gonna be dealing with this tariff uncertainty for a while, then I'd like to at least see a resurgence in the secondhand/barter market. You know, my cow for your 3 magic beans, a few mice for temporary footmen, a dozen eggs (basically gold) for first born child, etc

If you have any itchy wool clothes, definitely give this a try- soak it in lukewarm water with a capful of conditioner for 30 min, then squeeze dry, reshape, and let dry.
Tried it over the weekend with this vintage Scottish wool cardigan and happy to say that it's now much softer and wearable! ❤️

my grocery store has a massive trade deficit with me. I buy from them every week and they never buy anything from me. in order to correct this injustice, I’m going to self-impose a sales tax on groceries so that I can’t buy as many.
