🎮 Metaphor: ReFantazio and FFXIV (always)
This series was a lot of fun! Packs in so many jokes per minute.
Not every sketch lands, but it's more hits than misses. I would've liked a bit more of the actual serious story content, but that's a minor complaint when the show is so consistently funny.

The character design is wacky in the best way and the plot definitely keeps me guessing.
I've got some quibbles with the mechanics of the game, but they're pretty minor.

Also, the English VAs are killing it here. You can tell they're having a lot of fun and I'll never tire of listening to Morgan Lauré curse and threaten.

Woof. That title is a rough start. But! Give this one a shot, as it's actually pretty good so far!
Standard truck-kun fare except the MC is transported into a story she wrote in middle school. Has some interesting ideas! Hope it pulls them off.

I'm not gonna lie, I got pretty fatigued with last season. Hopefully with all of these arcs resolving, I can avoid that this time.
Either way, I'm in it until the end. There's always a few bangers in there too, so I'm still looking forward to it.

A bit of a weak start to this season, but this show has done enough work to earn a little grace. I'm looking forward to the further adventures of the Forger family!

Seems like it could be a fun little slice of life, but I'm not sure about it yet. Production quality seems quite low and I'm not really hooked yet. I like the indie game dev angle with the main character.
We'll see how this one pans out.

As a Canadian, this was required viewing. I'm pretty familiar with the source material, but haven't visited Green Gables in a long time.
This was really good! I honestly wish there was a bit more because it felt like they flew through the later books.

This show keeps getting better. It was pretty good as a sort of monster of the week show in S1, but the longer character focused arcs have been way more satisfying.
Fingers crossed for S3.

A cute conceit (zombie apocalypse, but turn into cats instead of zombies), but doesn't have enough there to carry a series.
Commits the cardinal sin of entertainment for me. It's boring. I'll take a messy trainwreck with bold ideas over this.

I'm not one for Christmas themes, but this anime definitely has my attention. Boy turns into jacked Santa to save missing girl.
It seems like it's going to lean into themes of kindness, which is something we need right now.
Plus, I'm always game for whatever Science Saru has cooking.

Look, you had me at "badass lady beats the everloving shit out of a group of pompous nobles", but the whole cast is real fun and it seems like the plot might have enough meat on the bones to carry it forward.
The first couple episodes were a ton of fun.

This was fun! Played through with my bestie and we had a good time. I don't think every single mechanic works well and it's not quite as well-tuned as It Takes Two, but I like that they took some big swings. It definitely succeeds more than it doesn't.

This was good! Honestly better than I expected it to be. Nube is a fun protagonist and cares about his students in a way that feels real.
Cool monster-of-the-week format and I appreciate that fighting the yokai isn't the solution every single time.

•Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
• Super Mario Bros 3
• Super Mario Galaxy
• Super Mario World
There was a lot of competition for those last couple spots.

I literally just finished Slay the Princess last night and I'll be starting Astro Bot tomorrow.
And, of course, I'm always playing FFXIV.
