I got a decent unexpected pay rise, so I’ve treated myself to a new mouse for my PC in the hopes of maybe doing some more gaming now that hopefully my wrist won’t ache and my scroll wheel won’t suck. Also switched to wireless.

Playing some music at high volume (detached property, don’t worry about my neighbours), thought a speaker was distorting, but it was the bathroom door across the hallway vibrating 😹 made me panic that did. These are good speakers.

Trackday was a blast as always. A couple mishaps happened, but no one was injured as far as I know.

Not a complaint, but is it me or are there fewer fireworks being set off by households this year? Not a single one of my close neighbours has set a firework off. I think the only the ones I’ve heard are professional displays at schools and such as they last about 10-20 minutes.

Any time I have jabs or a blood test, I should just book the whole day off work to recover. The anxiety I have with needles messes me up for the whole day. I know it sounds kinda pathetic, but I think my childhood medical history has traumatised me.

There are lots of people throwing theories back and forth about when the AI bubble is going to pop. Working in the data centre industry, I wouldn't say it's likely to pop the same way the dot-com bubble did. It's more likely to deflate like the crypto bubble is.
Guys I think the AI bubble might actually be about to collapse.

After much thinking I have come to the conclusion that iOS and MacOS 26 fucking sucks.
It’s killed the battery life and performance of my still-new iPhone 16 Pro and ruined the snappiness of my M1 Mac Pro.
Talk about planned obsolescence.
