Cross also mentioned the effects that H2SO4 would have on the copper and lead pipes - essentially putting Pb and Cu and their sulfates into the supply.

Cu sulfate is poisonous and bioaccumulates. Can take months for body to deal with even moderate dose.

This is one of the poisons report commissioned by the government in the wake of Camelford.

It seems to downplay the dangers, but is still an alarming read.

In particular, it mentions that citrates can enhance uptake of Al.

What did they advise kids drink? 😳

And here is an article that Doug Cross wrote for The Guardian back in 2001:

Boiling water - Will a new inquiry on the Camelford poisoning get any nearer to the truth?

This is what pisses me off about the unquestioning use of questionnaires.

The value you get is from the questions they actually ask.

If you reduce them down to a single number, you lose nearly ALL the value.

It's also highly likely that it's not just reporting "persistent" fatigue, but *worsening* fatigue.

Look at the questionnaire. Look at what it is DOING.

Each timepoint - I am worse than usual. I am getting worse.

I'm presuming that everything sent to a journal just gets "processed" nowadays, that there's no credibility check?

Because even a basic check should spot this stuff.

Or is some form of AI being tasked with doing that check now?

(I used to work in journal admin/editorial - so 🤷)

There are so many things wrong with this paper that I really don't know where to start.

I really do think we are in end times now. 😩

Watched it now. He doesn't. But that's not surprising as he was merely a commentator on it. There were many others of his ilk making comments about symptoms being caused by "anxiety" at the time.
