Missing my mother today, on what would be her 98th birthday, the first one without her here. It's just as strange and difficult as I've seen other folks describe it, although I'm happy to think of her at rest after several tough years. ❤️

Still puny from Monday's infusion, but I can't miss carving a pumpkin, with help from my honey. Happy Halloween! 🎃❤️🐈‍⬛

What Julie said! Happy happy birthday, dawlin! 🎂🎉🥂❤️

For some reason this is all I can think of when I hear these guys.

Enjoying the funky music and flashing Halloween decor from the party going on behind us, while I am happily curled up in front of the baseball game with a cup of tea and our 32 year old souvenir foam blue "J". If last night is any indication, it still has some mojo left in it. 😄 #WorldSeries2025

My husband just dug out the foam Blue J he brought back from a 1992 work trip to Toronto, and it's still in pretty good shape. We're ready! 😁

My lovely paternal grandmother, Eleanora "Eleanor" Scheumann Bartholomew, in about 1927 at age 19, not long before her marriage to my grandfather in December 1928. Going through old family photos can be quite the emotional experience. 😭😍

Had the loveliest weekend with family, friends, and food, of course, courtesy of the mister. Savoring the delightfully rainy morning with coffee on the #BirdPorch before we start the new infusion rounds at 1pm.

One of my longtime Stargate SG-1 fandom friends (20+ years!) sent me this beautiful flower arrangement to cheer me on as I get ready for yet another round of chemo infusions on Monday. Don't let anyone tell you your online friends aren't "real" friends! ❤️

I even wore my shirt today but the Bengals are making me sad. Again. 😜🐯

Post u from a different era.

I think 1997 qualifies, ha. We had many more occasions to dress up when we lived in New Orleans. Can you tell I'm something like tenth cousins with Donny and Marie Osmond? 😂

Even though I'm angsty and waiting for the other shoe to drop, I can be grateful for my husband's strong breakfast game. 🥰

I was fortunate enough back in 2015 to meet and chat at length with Ron Campbell, the Australian animator who helped create both the cartoon show and artwork for Yellow Submarine. He was delightful, and drew me my very own Jeremy Hillary Boob! Especially meaningful since my dad was an animator. ❤️

Omg, y'all, I won the giveaway for this stunningly beautiful copy of Ruby Lal's Tiger Slayer, illustrated by @mollycrabapple.bsky.social and with a custom illustration inside the cover! So beautiful! Many thanks to author, artist, and Norton Young Readers! 🥰 #BookPost

It's another week of uncertainty on several fronts, but if it lives up to Sunday breakfast I won't complain!

Found my own copy of the book from the previous post, purchased for class in the early 70s. Might have to do a reread - it's been a while.

Got up before dawn and slugged down coffee before getting back in The Chair to be infused one more time, ha. Hopefully the last one, but the PET scan in 2 weeks will tell the tale. In any case, we will carry on. Looking forward to leftover Thai food for lunch. 😉

Homemade French bread pizza, fancy olives, beer, and great music by Les Nubians, to celebrate my platelets being high enough for what we hope is my final chemo treatment on Wednesday morning. 🎉

We're on the clock for coffee and the AJC, at least the print edition. I guess we can sit with our phones or laptops after December 31, but then that's what we were kind of trying to get away from. This coming new year really is already the Undiscovered Country, in so many ways. 🤷‍♀️ #BirdPorch

Peter Frampton in Black Sheep Squadron's final episode in 1976, as a coast watcher in the Pacific, long hair and all. Maybe not my favorite but certainly one of the most surprising.
