Mm I'm not convinced. Users do ask me for specific things, GitHub and Liberapay both support one-off-payments, and have very low fees.
I'd need a high level of confidence that we'd get in more than the admin costs, and with 3 existing ways to sponsor Gleam it's not clearly the case.

No one has asked for it! Each new platform etc is extra admin, so each one would need to bring in enough funds to make it worth it. Seems there's a requirement to publish information about accounts with opencollective, which would be a lot more work than the others too.
