I write young adult and sweet romance novels. I love seeing others' nature photos. Languages are my jam–learning Japanese right now. Also speak German. Like to think I can still order pea soup in Quebec in French.
I’m not sure if you’re all familiar with Rare Magazine? They are out of the UK and staffed by people passionate about and in some way living with a rare disease.

Some of the after effects of eating disorders you never hear about. 😞

I’ve never understood why the ideal male body requires healthy diet and exercise, but a woman’s ideal body requires deprivation.

I’m sorry to hear about your health difficulties ❤️

In the 80s, you heard rumours re: which stars had eating disorders.

In high school (mid-90s), there was a poster of a model’s lower legs juxtaposed to those of a girl/woman in an underdeveloped country.

Extreme thinness for women in entertainment is not new. Only the cause is.

Whenever I write my first sci-fi novel, I’m going to use this vocabulary.

There used to be a time when “they’ll say anything to get votes” meant “they’ll promise money they can’t spend to every Tom, Dick, and Harry.” Now it means “they’ll say anything to get votes.”

I was in Japan in May and occasionally saw women completely covered: skirts to their ankles, long-sleeved shirts, what I’ll call a spring balaclava, sunglasses, large-rimmed hat, etc. It’s how some women try to avoid sun spots on their skin for cosmetic reasons 😞.

I’ve shovelled snow in workout leggings and exercise bra. So, nope. Not weird!

Love the 70s vibe. Here’s a little more (although Spaceketeers isn’t quite there).

Couldn’t read it, unfortunately: sign in required. But would’ve interested me.
