I'm under the impression there's lots of asterisks there because Xbox never had the best selling console and they've lagged behind their competitors for some time in console sales. They also canceled some major releases, raised console prices twice in the past year, and game pass prices rose too.

I have a better idea
I stick to mostly single player, indie, or retro stuff for that reason. It's hard to talk about gaming to people who only play flavor of the month stuff that's riddled with MTX.

Twitter is still better for fandom based stuff and going viral. Lots of people too stubborn to leave. It's got a ton of artists still hanging there even though it doesn't have a great set up for cataloguing or displaying art.
I'm not saying Twitter is great, that's just what I think.

I guess back in the day that's what Miyamoto did. Like the storybook in Mario Galaxy. Miyamoto doesn't seem to be a huge fan of deep plots in his games and Koizumi's a dude that studied film and animation.

I feel like Koizumi is the kind of guy that can pull off an earnest Disney-like story, but Miyamoto is often trying to reign him in.
