I want to share the story of what my mom did on Election Day in Pennsylvania.

It’s been painful to think about in the wake of the loss, but it also makes me burst with pride and is emblematic of the country I want to live in—the country I hope we still have when this is all over.

🧵
I don’t know if this will wind up being the right long-term move strategically, but it’s the right near-term move for me emotionally
🚨Kyle Schwarber is back with the Phillies on a 5 year deal worth $150M per Jeff Passan.

This is quite funny to me
Jalen Hurts double turnover broke the Monsters Inc broadcast engine

I believe Jalen doesn’t like Nick, thinks Nick is a total fraud, and thinks the offense is run by bozos (just like it was in 2023). I suspect even when he occasionally gets valid coaching points from Nick and Kevin, he doesn’t trust it because he doesn’t respect them.

I think Nick is the problem.
Until further notice my Jalen Hurts opinion is that Nick Sirianni is dragging him down.

I’m not saying Jalen is an elite quarterback on tools alone. I think it’s clear he is not.

But I deeply believe Jalen is capable of being great, in the right scheme and situation. Nick gives him the opposite.

Correct take. Jalen Hurts has had a bad few games but Jalen Hurts is not the main problem. The main problem is Nick Sirianni.
All of that is worth a shot except benching Hurts
do you give McKee a shot?
do you sit Dickerson to see if he can get healthy? Also Jurgens?
do you have passing coordinator or qb coach call plays?
do you weep?
do you curse the gods and break things?

Yeah I don’t think anything is really on Jalen. For this particular game, yeah. Sure. But something is deeply dysfunctional behind the scenes on an institutional level for the NFL’s best talent to play like they did tonight. It’s kind of disturbing honestly.

…except when he drops 3 balls in a night??

Did he forget what a catch felt like???
Despite the questionable effort on some plays tonight, "just throw it to AJ Brown on every play" remains a good idea.

In-game text from brother: "The NFC North and NFC West are beating the crap out of each other while we are playing in a division with mouth-breathing idiots. We should have the 1-seed locked up by now."

I don’t believe Kevin Patullo’s house should be egged but I do believe he should be invited to buy a different house not in the Philadelphia area

The offense again declined to play all four quarters of football and for once the defense didn’t bail them out and they didn’t get lucky (with an assist from the refs). The result was a loss.

This is why this offense this way is not sustainable.

Low of 39 degrees overnight. Let me know who’s got extra hand and foot warmers.
If we lose this game I am sleeping outside the NovaCare complex tonight with a Fire Kevin Patullo billboard

I really hate them tonight.

I guess holding isn’t really holding when the Cowboys do it. That appears to be the rule tonight

There was a lot of talk this week about whether Jalen Hurts was a primary source of the Eagles’ problems on offense.

A predictable handoff to Saquon every first down is not a Jalen Hurts problem.

I am losing my mind.
November 23, 2025 at 11:34 PM
Maybe this is grumpy of me, but—why run a half-assed handoff to Saquon if we had no intention of attempting to score more points before the half? Why wouldn’t we just kneel it?

I’m still thinking about “quiet, piggy.” No president should be able to speak to a member of the press that way and remain president. That moment encapsulates how vile, misogynistic, and horrible that man is.

Update, I have read the first three paragraphs of the Ryan Lizza Substack and I’m now convinced this was the subtweet of that
Editors have a really hard job, and the good ones can make something unreadable readable, and the great ones can make something unreadable into something good. But they're basically invisible, until someone tries to write without one.
