aura farming in English specifically is just doing something / trying to do something cool regardless of age. in Japanese the word chuunibyou is more oriented towards middle/high schoolers that do cringe shit to be cool. it's not quite the same but pretty close

the word literally means "2nd year middle school illness", but it refers to the shit kids do to try and look cool, so tbh aura farming is great localization
