Yes, I’m still awake. One of the online girlie pops was talking about this lowkey being a race to snag CNN before the mid terms and that is the theory I’m going with.
Paramount is making a hostile bid to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery after losing a major bidding battle to Netflix.

They are offering an all-cash deal worth $108 BILLION.

One of my fundamental beliefs is that I should not have to talk to people who have been cruel to me. You might be surprised to learn how often -- and vociferously -- people disagree with me about that.

Hey y’all. My sister & I are facing an urgent housing crisis. Because of a major snowstorm, we haven’t been able to work, & now we can’t cover the full cost of our temporary housing for tomorrow. We’re doing everything we can to stay safe, warm, & stable, but we need help to get through this moment.

I saw this post and hared off to watch it too and...

So much yelling and so many memories.

Man, we've lived through some times.

Please do the same so we can have this 🙏🏾✨️

My new best friend, tree-ripened Granny Smith apples. Picked them at MIL's house last weekend.

They're sweet with charming hints of tartness and have small red spotting on the skin.

Let them be a winter apple, you won't regret! Flavor as complex as wine & criollo chocolate ✨️

I am transported 🙌🏾🌱

Black men please get checked

In the past two weeks I have heard stories about 1 man passing at 31 from a heart attack and another man passing at 34 from a stroke

I personally knew one man and my dad knew the other one

This is not normal ! Please do not play about your health.

I am immediately IMMEDIATELY baking sweet braided bread. Takes 4 eggs per batch. Cardamon or lemon zest. Maybe I'll make 4 loaves of each.

Once I can pick myself up off the floor.

These neighbors are gonna eat good.
Don't laugh but, until just a few minutes ago, I never had a chance to eat any of our chickens' eggs.

I'd heard how good they were but...

Holee molee, these are the BEST eggs I've ever eaten in my life!!

Including from my flock 10y ago.

They're even a little sweet?! 🌱🥹

Ran out to get my quesabirria tacos…
Kept #Rudolph playing on my phone. Grown Black man with a full beard heard Clarice singing “There’s always tomorrow” his face lit up.
“That’s a classic.”🥰
What I love most about Christmas, the inner child is strong this time of year. Even with a whole beard🤣🤣🤣

What I find interesting is how one potential buyer is spoken about in terms of a specific person/persons/family while the buyer is spoken about by its brand.

Why is that? How did we get here?
I am not really “here” as I am hella busy right now with SCAD crap (yes even during break) but Netflix buying Warner Bros. is actually insane.

Better than Paramount given how much they openly wanna back our oligarchs I GUESS (???) but still none of this is remotely any good and good lord

Segregation in public accommodations was the major venue for protests during the Civil Rights Movement. Economists have not spent much time considering how discrimination in public accommodations affected economic activity. This is now a major focus of my work. 2/3 www.nber.org/system/files...

70 years ago today, the Montgomery Bus Boycott began. Days after Rosa Parks was arrested on December 1, 1955 for violating the ordinance requiring Black residents of Montgomery to accept second class treatment, the Black community organized and boycotted the city’s buses for over one year. 1/3

aBOOSTING

Please help a lovely writer/ baby catcher/ all around cool person l.
I've managed to get this mini-goal down to $275.

Boosting my ko-fi post cause right now my choices are fundraise that amount OR choosing between rent and getting to work to tomorrow and through the weekend.
I have a chance to pick up more work this week, but I'm still stuck in the trap of raising *JUST* enough to get to work and eat and sorta kinda scrape by on housing. If I met a mini-immediate goal of $350 I'd be able to commit to the extra work and cover all my baby-runs for through Sunday.

I heard that man apologized but he only asked forgiveness for possibly tarnishing himself in anyone's eyes 🥴

The purposeful disrespect and loud coverage speak to the success & impact of the anti-racist work going on in various communities right now.

I am creating a spreadsheet manually of all of my 2024 Amazon purchases. That was the year I finally quit Prime (4Q2024) and Amazon shortly thereafter.

The frequency of purchases!!

The sketchy-looking totals 😮

I have unexpected feelings about these (and any Amazon) transactions.
