Experience a thrilling, magical twist on Jane Austen's classic Pride & Prejudice in Spellbound at Pemberley, the first book of the Fitzwilliam Darcy, Mage trilogy! Fitzwilliam Darcy is a powerful mage and master of illusions. Yes, I could happily read here all day. ❤️📖
This was Jane Austen's favourite place to sit and write at Chawton House, the Oak Room alcove. The alcove is above the front door and has wonderful views down the long gravel driveway and across the parklands.

My favourite writing place is in the garden, I am much more creative outside.

Sense and Sensibility is towards the lower end of Jane Austen's books for me but like I always say, Austen can turn a quote!

To all my indie authors today, Jane Austen was with you.
Jane Austen paid to publish her first novel, Sense & Sensibility (the equivalent of self-publishing in Jane's day), and earned more than traditionally published Pride & Prejudice.

Traditional publishing is often considered superior, but both offer a pathway to author success and independence.

My first #JaneAusten read was Northanger Abbey. I got to see a first edition of it. I love the line "The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid." What do you think of this offbeat novel?

The most important thing in writing is to finish. A finished thing can be fixed. A finished thing can be published. A finished thing can be made into a movie.

An unfinished thing is just a dream. And dreams fade if you don't hold on tight enough.

So finish the thing.
