Thank you! I remember years and years ago there was a plan to tear up half of Stephen's Green to make a mega-station of some sort underneath it. CIE promised they'd put it back exactly the way they found it but fortunately barely anyone believed that was likely.

I'm still mystified by why any part of it needs to go south of the river at all and I've no idea if there's a better explanation than 'Once upon a time Shane Ross wanted it to go all the way to his constituency'.
