These were my exact words. The last tweet cuts off but says "that's why layered mitigations matter." I was trying to say that the people opposed to others having free will don't share my politics. But no one understood what I meant and took it to mean I wouldn't end the pandemic & want people dead.
There's some people who think they share my politics who'd press a button to force everyone in the world to mask if they could. And anyone who would press it does not share my views. If we just address the symptoms without addressing how we got here in the first place, we'll end up here again. It's not authoritarian to make a rule requiring masks in a space. AND there's legitimate reasons some people can't mask. You can make exceptions and you can even write that into the rule. Everyone who can mask, should. Some people wont, but that's why layered mitigations matter.

If you don't have labels, you can also print these on regular paper and just hand them out to people. This is a great way to respond to "why are you wearing a mask?" Some people truly do not know. The QR codes link to peoplesCDC.org

Here's a very basic guide to T cells & Covid! People can't treasure what they don't know they have. Most people don't know anything about their (crucial) T cells, which Covid destroys. The web version has hyperlinked sources: bit.ly/T_cells101

What are T cells? T cells are one of the most valuable types of white blood cells in your immune system. They play a key role in keeping you healthy and safe from disease. They identify, attack, and destroy infectious agents (like viruses). T cells protect the body from infections that have reached the inside of your cells. Why are they called T cells? T cells are born from stem cells found in your bone marrow. Once the T cells are created, they migrate to your thymus (an organ located behind your breastbone); this is why they’re called T cells. They develop and grow inside your thymus. Once they’re fully mature, your T cells live in your blood and lymph nodes. Major Subtypes: Killers & Helpers Your body creates several different types of T cells to keep you safe. Each of these types has a different role to play in your immune system. 2 of the major subtypes are “killer” (cytotoxic) T cells (shown at left) and “helper” (CD4+ cells) T cells. Full text available at bit.ly/T_cells101 Helper T Cells Unlike the killer T cells, the helper T cells work by activating other cells in your body. By activating your body’s memory B cells and your body’s killer T cells, they set off an even bigger immune response within your body. What happens if you lose T cells? Your body really, really needs T cells. When you don’t have enough of them, your body’s immune system cannot work properly, making you really susceptible to infections. And it’s important to know that as we age, we don’t produce many (if any) new T cells. Covid damages and destroys T cells. This happens because Covid hyperstimulates T cells—it stimulates them too much. Why? Covid has the ability to linger in your body and challenge your immune system. Look at this graph. If you're on infection number two or three (or higher), your risk of being hospitalized if you get Covid again is VERY heightened. And your risk of a lot of other bad stuff happening is higher too. You need to act accordingly and mask. You likely don't know what number you're on.

Lots of people still don't know it's possible to safely reuse N95 masks. Here's the method I use (paper bag method). You can write the dates on the bags to keep track of when they've been worn, to make things even easier.
Instructions for safely reusing N95 masks. 1. Wear Mask A on Day 1. 2. On Day 2, use Mask B. Place Mask A in a labeled paper bag. 3. Store the closed bag at room temperature for 4 days. 4. Reuse Mask A on Day 5. 5. Repeat. Discard the mask if soiled or damaged. Illustration shows four labeled paper bags. COVID SAFETY 101  (2023) Covid (SARS-Cov-2) is short for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The virus is airborne and neuroinvasive. It causes vascular disease and dysregulates immune systems. The pandemic is not over, the virus never became milder,  and the government has continually lied about the threat. Because the virus is being allowed to spread freely, more dangerous variants are constantly emerging. We are all in serious danger. COVID IS A BSL3 PATHOGEN Biosafety level three pathogens are those that cause serious or potentially lethal disease through inhalation. Other BSL3 pathogens include yellow fever, West Nile virus, and tuberculosis. When Covid is handled in a lab setting, this is what people wear (left). Covid has always been classified as BSL3. Omicron is not mild. Staying six feet apart does not keep you safe. Social distancing was never enough to prevent transmission. Masks work, when worn properly. Washing hands and getting vaccinated do not stop Covid infections, because the virus is in the air and can linger in the air for hours. LONG COVID IS A DIRE EMERGENCY 10-70% of people never recover from their infections. At least one in ten infections leads to Long Covid, a severe disease that has no cure. Long Covid is the third-leading neurologic disorder in the US. Covid can persist in the body long after infection (we don't yet know how long). Reinfections are far more dangerous than initial infections, and the damage is cumulative.
