It's also worth noting that romanticizing the rule of law means adopting a wholly false perspective around what the law is, who it targets, who it privileges, and how it functions—or I suppose it could just be an embrace of that hierarchy, which is also... a problem.

Pet peeves:
- don't try to convince me or yourself your standard calls-to-action for "comments below" are about "discourse"
- the "good Christian who is all about rational discourse and humour" bait-and-switch proselytization game is obvious and you should feel bad.

For me, good reactions offer authenticity and appreciation or thoughtful critique of the original and add thoughts and interpretations that viewers may not have considered. But I get it's not in everyone.

I recognize much reaction content is about audience capture for a secondary business as well.

Reaction content both appeals to me and pisses me off on a deep level. For so many on YouTube it feels like the worst kind of "phoning it in" instead of creating. But people trying to survive out there also don't owe the world deep, inspired creations if just reacting to some shit gets you paid.

As a celiac, good spätzle is worth the permanent damage :p

Anyway, they're both horrific pieces of work and the distinction is pedantic. I just think the context of describing things that happen in South America only by comparison with the USA to be typically eyeroll-worthy.

I'll add that Novation/Focusrite's own configuration software does not work for it, however there are free tools (eg: alsa-scarlet-gui) that work with, in my opinion, a greater amount of control once you learn how they work.

Dunno about the Solo, but for the most part I've found focusrite to be well enough supported. I have a 3rd gen 18i20 and 4i4 that run fine.
