Yep! When I'm not deep in other special interests or binge-gaming palworld anyway, I produce synthy music. ^_^

By "music system" I mean I have a NUC 12 dedicated to all my music software (Bitwig Studio, VCVRack, etc.).
A rack of synthesizers and messy cables.

I got curious about the Where's Waldo test for visual analysis type AI today so tried it out with a few models.

Qwen2.5-vl @ 7B, 32B, 72B; Qwen3-vl @ 235B; Gemini 2.5 Pro

Results: all wildly incorrect, all overconfident that they'd located Waldo. Even accounting for scaling issues.

PS: I don't mind the autotune/melodyne that much but it's veeeery clearly present in the spectrogram of More than Anything lol. Humans don't change notes like this. Just an observation.

Hi @vivziepop.bsky.social I dunno if you read things posted here, but I was struggling with the surround audio mix on Hazbin s2 songs so analyzed:

Summary: centre channel is muddy with too much instrumental. Compare spectrograms for More than Anything and Sera's Confession.

Wildly reduces impact.

Really appreciate Apple's recent increased use of swapping if only Firefox didn't persist in trying to use ALL of it.
Force Quit Applications modal window on Mac. "Your system has run out of application memory. To avoid problems with your computer, quit any applications you are not using." VS Code is using 7.42 GB, Discord is using 2.38 GB, and Firefox is using an absurd 44.03 GB.
