Spetsiifiline näide: siin Royal Opera House budget. ca 22% tuleb riigilt (13% Arts Council Englandilt ja 9% maksusoodustusena). 48% tuleb piletimüügist (k.a. tuurid). 27% tuleb annetustena.
Võrdluseks Estonia: 33% piletimüük, 61% riigilt (kui ma saan õigesti aru, mida "tegevustoetus" tähendab).

Mainida võiks ka kultuuriasutuste enda veidike puudulikku tööd. Vaadake nt NYC Met või Royal Opera veebilehti: toetuse küsimine on kohe kesksel kohal. Estonia veebilehel ma seda ei leiagi? Miks ei ole lihtne ja kergesti nähtav, kuidas eraisikud saaksid kultuuri toetada?

A sad Valentine’s graph from the FT: a lower rate of relationship formation is pretty strongly correlated with a decline in total fertility rate. Why is this happening ? A million think pieces have put forward a million opinions, but I don’t think there’s a single reason.

I think they're learning the values of insulation already during these cold snaps! The problem is the cost when such a significant proportion of your housing stock is more than 100yrs old...

For the second year in a row, I missed my reading goal… But given that I had a newborn this year (and fundraised for my startup the year before), I think I’m going to give myself a pass. And a pat on the back for still making it through 54 books!

Tõsi! Ja see lugu lõpetab ka kahtlemata Netflixis vms platformil. Kõik hollywoodilikud elemendid on olemas - naeratav CCTV pilt, põgenemine jalgrattal, seljakott täis Monopoli raha (?). Kohtuprotsess tuleb huvitav!

I think these are all slightly earlier than high school, as I grew up with itunes (/limewire) & albums were replaced by songs. But these were the good💩:
1. Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say(…)
2. MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
3. Death Cab for Cutie - Transatlanticism
4. Maroon 5 - Songs about Jane

jah, USAs näiteks saabub sissetulekute tipp 45-65 vahel. Tundub tõenäoline, et liigume ka sinna poole (nt tippjuhtide vanus on Eestis kindlasti viimase 20a muutunud ca 10-20a vanemaks)
