I became aware of @malcolmcraig.bsky.social’s Cold City/Hot War listening to an episode of the GFoJE several years ago where @sdorward.bsky.social was enthusing about them. Eventually I hunted down copies (a major challenge) and wasn’t disappointed! A majestic diptych of TTRPGs. Unparalleled!

Absolutely love the @blpublishing.bsky.social series of ghost and horror stories. Amongst my very favourite series ❤️ particularly for this time of year.

Have to say I really liked Flux. Some cracking episodes and great ideas - the further adventures of Yaz, Dan and Jericho is just waiting for a Big Finish spin off! The only lament is for the season cut short by Covid and the ten episode version of it that could have been!

Thanks @obversebooks.co.uk for continuing to publish these. For the 60th anniversary I was compiling a “60 things I love about Doctor Who” for a Blog. Your works occupied 5 of my top 20 with Black Archive top of those entries and well within the top 10! Bravo 👏.

Can England’s Women win the tournament? Would be remarkable to see England’s women’s sports teams hold the Rugby Union World Cup, Football European Championship and Cricket World Cup concurrently! 👏

@andwbcpodcast.bsky.social. Listening to episode 103 of your podcast. The answer to you Winnie the Poo question is the Third Doctor…. in a meta Land of Fiction set story.

Agreed. Listened to this morning after reading your article. That three song run Caramel, Trimm Trabb, No Distance Left… is one of the best of any band.

Just read your review of the three best Blur albums. Delighted you called out 13 as #1. It’s my personal favourite, along with its successor Think Tank. That period was imo the pinnacle of their collective and individual creativity. Amazingly eclectic yet coherent albums.

I’ve recently re-read Mother London by Moorcock. Set between The Blitz and the 1980s, it’s a paean the great city in all its grandeur, squalor and horror. It’s in the “weird fiction” style maybe bordering on magical realism/urban fantasy but it is without doubt one of most literate novels.
