More thoughts on collectively not paying federal taxes...
I want a "California Office of Federal Tax Payment", where my federal taxes are routed through before the state forwards them on to the feds (instead of me directly paying the federal government)? That way we could collectively withhold our taxes together.

This is great. We need to be strengthening our state with the expertise that these people provide. We should be collecting researchers and scientists as well, especially from red states.

I'm always amazed at how much hate ChatGPT and other LLMs get. They're incredible tools, and have helped me be more creative in some interesting ways, and have helped my curious mind delve into some topics that I wouldn't normally have time to investigate.

Education needs to get better. I think a few small updates, and a rethinking of what we prioritize could make a large difference.

One of the things that keeps me hopeful currently is just the potential in creating new and better systems to propel us forward (and likely finding ways to do so without the conservatives holding us back).

It's disturbing how easy it is to manipulate reality for so many people (and to be fair, all of our realities are being manipulated, but to the level that is fed to those on the right is pretty incredible and surprisingly effective). #WarRavagedPortland #TrumpShutdown

Perhaps we should use policies more deliberately to attract talent and good people to the state (and perhaps to drive out those who are a net drain on progress).
I've thought it would be interesting if there existed an Office of Community Housing to basically run a city-led Community Land Trust (CLT). It seems like a good option for keeping housing prices down, while still allowing people to build investment over the long term.

I wonder what it would mean (and if it were possible), for a state to become so powerful, that it can no longer be constrained by the nation. Perhaps California should aim for that (whatever it is)

If there's one thing I've learned under trump, it's that the laws and norms don't really matter. In that light, the State of California should create its own currency.
