I remember discovering what the title meant and was super excited to play it, expecting a gritty, violent and serious game... boy was I wrong (and now it's in my heart)

Such a beautiful yet flawed game. Spent way too many days when I was young trying to finish it and putting it in the family Stereo to listen to the soundtrack.

4 has always been my favourite with 15 being a close contender (if you're replacing Nobuo Uematsu, Yoko Shimomura is a perfect choice)

I'll take any excuse to gush about Crypt of the Necromancer.
It's an amazing combination of rougelike dungeon crawl and rhythm where everything moves to the music tempo. It has a very charming pixel art and, of course, the music is amazing. Game's hard tho, but good lord, I can't get enough of it.
