Democracy doesn’t instantly vanish, it’s dismantled, department by department, ruling by ruling. SCOTUS was the law. Now it’s the knife. Congress sets laws to keep presidential powers in check. Our corrupt SCOTUS is destroying that balance and fast-tracking us to certain demise.

RELEASE. THE. FILES.
One judge actually said the public interest in releasing the grand jury files would ONLY be to show what a sham the DOJ request was.

The real action is in the DOJ files (where is that photo, Attorney General?), and the distraction is the grand jury materials.

Just like Henry VIII, who blamed anything bad on his inner circle. He either had them forcibly removed or cut their heads off.

Trump will never take responsibility for anything, unless it’s a lie or percieved accomplishment he can brag about.
As congressional scrutiny of Pete Hegseth intensifies, Donald Trump is starting to tire of his scandals. Atlantic writers spoke with roughly two dozen officials about the defense secretary’s bad week:
Pete Hegseth Is Seriously Testing Trump’s ‘No Scalps’ Rule
Lawmakers are finally waking up to the problems the defense secretary has created.

Anyway, if you're surprised at all about the SCOTUS decision, remember

- Bush v Gore chose the president on such nakedly partisan grounds they put in the opinion that it couldn't be used as future precedent

- Chief Justice Roberts and Justices Alito & Barrett all served on W's election legal team

White SCOTUS judges tell black voters that racism is all in their heads.

That is literally the news today. The liberal judges dissented and basically said this was racist.

I can't wait until those conservative judges are ALL impeached. That will be a joyous day.

Supreme Court lets Texas use gerrymandered map that could give GOP 5 more House seats
The Supreme Court has cleared the way for a Texas congressional map that may help the GOP win five more U.S. House seats in the 2026 midterms. A lower court found the map is likely unconstitutional.

I don't know who, if anyone, is raising the alarm for the sell-out Witkoff and Kushner have planned by Christmas, but you'd have to think US Senators would get that the best and maybe only chance to stop this is before "the deal" is made.
Pretty much the only thing that can prevent this is a healthy chunk of the Republican Party standing up in the next few days to tell Trump that we won't be a Putin-client nation.

And the question is whether a healthy chunk of that party exists.
We are days for the worst betrayal of our values—freedom, self-rule, hatred of despots—in US history.

"According to the report, Merz & Macron warned Zelensky bluntly that Washington may be preparing to 'betray' Ukraine w/ rushed concessions to Moscow."

Republicans are shamelessly lying to us.

A boat that size would have to refuel over 20 times to be "bound for the United States." And where would they do that in the middle of the Caribbean?
Q: What did you see in the second strike?

Cotton: "I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat -- loaded with drugs, bound for the United States -- back over, so they could stay in the fight."
