And the people killed were by no law, combatants. So we have to say, even if they were combatants, which they weren't, this was a war crime.

Yes indeed, but I don't actually know what is going on there either.

And the best threat Dems can make against everyone in the Administration is that they will hold them accountable for what they are doing now, after the midterms. Make them actually think they don't just have Trump and Miller to fear.

Who the hell is going to charge her now? The Justice Department?

Judges are not better. They are mostly less flamboyant in their prejudices, but their main prejudice is that defendants are likely to be guilty.

Fake collapsing daggers probably pre-date Shakespeare.

I was with a group of people for Thanksgiving, and one kid, probably 16, had never heard of them.
We were playing a game where CD-ROM was the answer, and he cried foul.

That sounds lovely.

Here there are two (at least) example-less assertions, one about "our" expectations, and, underlying that, the idea that sufficiently good art can redeem someone from bad behavior. But I don't think art and bad behavior are connected in that weird transactional way at all.

Got me there.

Most Americans don't have the faintest idea what the ICC is, so to deal with this problem here they prepped people on what UN agencies & the ICC do.
I'd submit that without knowing how exactly they prepped them, these answers are meaningless. Let Fox news prep people and you get different results.

Socks always try to attack cats and have to be fought to the death.

I can imagine a story about how he tries to give away his money.
November 29, 2025 at 9:59 PM
But is it possible to be rich today, with no moderating force, and kindhearted? Obviously some people concentrate on giving their money away, but that's not Wooster.
November 29, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Plunk Wooster down in the current world, no Jeeves, fully freed, does he stay a very silly man or does he become Peter Thiel?
November 29, 2025 at 9:44 PM
How do you know for sure?

They don't let me on a plane while carrying a baseball bat!
November 29, 2025 at 10:10 AM
Everyone should, indeed.

I meant lawyer having dinner with the judge as the resolution seems brazenly corrupt.
You should probably block me for saying it because it's very rude. And the whole system needs reform, and definitely throwing someone in jail for that is ridiculous.
November 29, 2025 at 4:58 AM
I mean, happy for you of course.
November 29, 2025 at 4:49 AM
That is definitely NOT the model we should turn to for reform!
November 29, 2025 at 4:38 AM
Many state republican parties do, and state parties are weird, they may be very quotable while actually being irrelevant.
November 29, 2025 at 4:16 AM
That's fair. And you have another three years to write it.
November 29, 2025 at 4:12 AM
Have to add Mamdani to things like this now.
November 29, 2025 at 4:09 AM
Whisper them to me, I won't tell anyone.
Ok, I should have said that in cases like this I think someone needs to PROVIDE answers, not just have them in their hearts. I guess I thought that was implied.
