I was in some bands: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGDLpp-DBdAok_KL0UB9Z9w
The Wrights were fans of Phil Esposito, while we advocated for our boy Jari fuckin Kurri. An additional detail I recall is that apprently Joey had advised Nomeansno to call their "Small Parts..." album Victory instead and put a picture of Winston Churchill on it. Good call to not do that.

Later that night my friend Chris and I ended up at Kenny Chinn's (Chi Pig of SNFU) second 'Nosedive' house, down in the river valley, with the Wright brothers and Joey Shithead. Needless to say, we mostly talked hockey, two way forwards specifically.

DOA were fantastic. They made a convert of me that night. And reciprocally, John Wright played drums for a song or two with them.

During Euthanasia, my buddy Eric and I slamdanced for much of the show. The paper the next day referred to us as 'angry youths.' We were just having fun!

Nomeansno came on and were great as always. John Card, who was drumming for DOA at the time, came out and did a song or two with them.

By then, I was already a huge fan of Nomeansno, and going in I was predicting that Nomeansno would blow DOA off the stage.

Euthanasia were friends of ours - the Boddy brothers and Marty on drums. As an example, this demo for my band Vlad etc. was recorded at their space on their equipment.

And I included Tupelo Chain Sex specifically because they weren't famous but should have been.

The drummer on that track is one hundred percent dynamite.

Was always my favorite. Probably a case of 'the one that came out when I was 13.'
