I once won a buckle riding a calf. I don’t know where the buckle or calf are these days but I’m still around.

(Also I am about to go through customs so I should make it quite clear that I am not a crime doer)

if I were a crime doer, I would commit my crime this evening. So when the investigator or whatever said “where were you at 7pm on the night of November 27?”

well well well do I have an answer for you

The dealer, who was approximately two muh-TURS in height, is believed to have been carrying up to three kil-AHHs of contraband.

See how silly that sounds

(Here’s Aoraki and me). I even got to see a small avalanche on Sefton, but couldn’t get my phone out in time to catch video of it.

This is my turn-around point; it’s all north from here until I fly out from Auckland on Thursday. I wish I could have gotten down to Milford Sound, but… next time.

Hello from Kea Point (Aoraki/Mt. Cook is not pictured but you can see Maukatua / Mt. Sefton). I haven’t seen ALL of Aotearoa / New Zealand since I landed on Thursday but I think Ive made a pretty good start.

I found it. I found the coolest place in the world.

I found the “Lobster Loos” in Wellington. (This is not just a toilet tour I promise)

Apparently I do not know how to travel solo without going into tour mode. Nine hours of driving today, 2 caves seen.

But the scenery on the drive was — literally — breathtaking. At one point I just screamed at a mountain for about 30 seconds because it was being rude (too beautiful for this world)

I won’t have time to get to Milford Sound on this trip, unfortunately.

Neither rugby BUT I might hit a cricket game

Yeah it’s not that bad. You will reach over the wrong shoulder for your seatbelt about 10 times a day tho.
November 21, 2025 at 8:36 AM
Today I saw this many caves

Driving on the left side of the road: no problem

forgetting the blinker is on the right side of the steering wheel, thereby accidentally turning on my windshield wipers 50x a day: yes problem

…Drove 4 more hours to see the Hundertwasser Toilets in Kawakawa.

I’ve been very offline of late, and this is how I found out. But yes, and wow.

Yes!!!

Literally yesterday I was telling someone about the costume and they said “does Grant Brisbee know about this? I feel like he will appreciate it” and friend, the tone was a little offensive toward us both
November 1, 2025 at 10:46 PM
i did not, it turns out, hit a home run. I somehow (after swinging at a pitch in the dirt) hit a ball about as hard as I’ve hit it all season (and it went straight to the left fielder)

I had so many of those Disney cassette tapes with the read along books — they were how I learned to read!
