Up early as I have to do an online speed awareness course at 8. Lovely way to start the weekend. When I got the call mum was seriously ill I drove up in the early hours and got caught on speed cameras doing 82 on the motorway.

Enjoying this rather well written memoir by the last Tory chief whip. Struck by his use of the adjective ’Trumpian’ to denote dishonesty - eg BoJo at “Trumpian’ levels in asserting his innocence. Maybe the BBC should bring him in as a defence witness in any Trump libel suit?
