hmmmmm I wonder if it has something to do with skin colour and nothing at all to do with values or culture or history or science or art or music theatre or literature.

Now’s the time for the uplifting bit.
I will not let the shower wreck my buzz. I will try my hardest to find a gallery for the next iteration of Time of the Signs so we can all enjoy a semiotic wonderland in 2026.

Great. Not only was there no exhibition there was a 3 month hole where I could have been looking for other galleries to host Time of the Signs 2.

Stupidly I thought this would get ironed out over time but there were long periods of unanswered emails until I tried to get some straight answers and after 3 months from the initial Yes the answer was No, the gallery had changed their mind.

A month after the happy email I wrote to the gallery to try and pin some stuff down but as time went on the emails got flakier and less ‘Let’s do this thing’ to more ‘Ummm & ahhhs.’

Time of the Signs 2 was a go and all I’d to do was find another set of bonkers artists who loved street signs as much as I do. What could possibly go wrong?
I’ll tell you what.

I had a gallery in mind for the 2nd iteration and I wrote to them asking if they would have any interest in hosting Time of the Signs and to my absolute delight they wrote back and said yes!
Result!

After the success of that show I decided to try and find a gallery to host Time of the Signs 2 with the idea that this might become a yearly exhibition that moved about the world in some kind of street signs frenzy that just got bigger and bigger and weirder and weirder.

was a collection of artist made and artist modified street signs and contained work from Clet Abraham, Fokawolf, Spelling Mistakes Costs Lives, Light Industrial Workshop, Martyn Reed and a whole host of crazy brilliant artists who took the theme of urban semiotics and turned it on its head.

I do see a bit of a shift in perception of AI on other platforms (it could just be my algorithm) but I am hopeful that there will be a lot of push back.

Does this help?

Ha, does he hate AI?
If so he is the pope for me.
