Some of you pointed out that the aim isn’t always precise enough. In LW 3.2, pressing Space while positioning a light now activates Precision Aim. This locks to the exact face normal under your cursor—no smoothing—so highlights land exactly where you intend.

This Scrim feathering concept uses drivers to dynamically adjust an area light’s scale, creating realistic light patterns by scaling the light to match the expanding pattern when a softbox is moved further behind a scrim. While this improves light feathering, it adds complexity and blocks S-scale.
