According to local Syrian media, the IDF which occupies all of Palestine, much of southern Lebanon, and huge swathes of southwestern Syria, attempted to arrest a Syrian civilian tonight in Beit Jinn but was met with resistance from the locals, and in turn the IDF killed two people via airstrike.
Deleted last post because the battle in Beit Jinn is apparently still ongoing

According to local Syrian media, the IDF which occupies all of Palestine, much of southern Lebanon, and huge swathes of southwestern Syria, attempted to arrest a Syrian civilian tonight in Beit Jinn but was met with resistance from the locals, and in turn the IDF killed two people via airstrike.

Also it was the ICJ, not ICC, and the ICJ did not merely rule settlements were illegal but that the entire occupation of the entire occupied Palestinian territory (East Jerusalem, all of the West Bank, and Gaza) is illegal. Settlement was already long held to be illegal according to 4th Geneva.

This is the US modus operandi on the peace process since the mid 1980s.
The reason they said no was because it was unrealistic. The reason they said it was unrealistic was because Israel would never agree. The reason Israel would never agree is because the US under both parties preemptively swears off ever imposing consequences onto Israel. This is a circular logic.
