Man er snart tom for ord. USA er tabt. Det er tæt på ligegyldigt, om Demokraterne får et godt midtvejsvalg. Intet valgresultat kommer til at skabe forsoning i nogen nær fremtid, når det er blevet normaliseret, at en siddende præsident kan sige sådan noget her. Shit, mand.

Forskning viser faktisk det modsatte af, hvad Vance påstår: højreorienterede ekstremister står for langt størstedelen af den politiske vold i USA og med større dødelighed end venstreorienterede. At fremstille det som et "venstreproblem" er derfor misvisende og bidrager til yderligere polarisering.
