Wonderful ceremony today in #ksleg as Sen. Mike Argabright honors the Southern Lyon County USD 252 Honor Flight program on the Senate floor. I was v moved today to speak w/ a Vietnam veteran who was choked up describing the wonderful visit to DC in April w/ these students.

Kansans love their local public schools. Unfortunately, we hear that #ksleg leadership wants to pass school vouchers in 2025. ICYMI, ~70% of vouchers go to families already in private school. Kansas communities thrive when our kids can depend on a well-funded local public school.

Thriving public schools = thriving KS communities. But some in #ksleg want school vouchers. Vouchers = learning loss; discrimination against SPED kids; unlicensed “teachers.” KS is best when every kid has the freedom to learn in their local public school.
