Same 😂 although your rollercoaster of a trip hasn't been due to a fault of your own!

Your trip has been a wild ride!

Thank you 😄 It's not everyday I'm getting published, so it's a nice win!

I think it looks perfect, a sign that work has been happening!

Thanks Monika and Happy Thanksgiving, I hope it was a good one!

This is beautiful, I can feel the warmth of the sunlight just from looking.

It's been a shitshow for so many hasn't it.
Really hoping the universe will be kinder to people and us next year.

Thank you Ian, it was!

I'm sorry this year hasn't been kind to you, you deserve better, especially on the job front 💛 I despair of mine often and know others who do too. Why can't we all just retire 😫

Best of luck Richard, I hope your courage pays off one way or another. And whether you get this job or not, I'm really glad someone saw your qualities and invited you back!

I'm a writer ex-bookseller still working in a bookselling company, I have had several bookseller colleagues who were also published authors, and a few who were artists too. In my world it's not been rare at all, although the people I know haven't owned shops.

There's so much I can't have this year and it hits me every time I realise or remember a new thing, both good and bad! I hope there's plenty of good stuff you can have!
November 23, 2025 at 9:09 PM
I'm sorry for your loss Gav and all the other hard stuff. I hope easier times will come soon.

It was such a strange coincidence, I have to see it as a sign to definitely apply now 😄
November 21, 2025 at 1:41 PM
The whole evening was such a nice, positive experience! It definitely made me want to keep at it.

It's a wonderful shop although I couldn't resist the marbled papers myself!
November 21, 2025 at 12:41 PM
230 prints?! Well done!
November 21, 2025 at 11:54 AM
Your photos recently are such a soothing place to pause and rest for a bit while looking at them.

I hadn't even realised someone from that very organisation would be there.
Sometimes it really is worth putting on a scarf and going out in the cold and dark.

And then towards the end of it, I unexpectedly found myself being encouraged to apply to the very grant on my mind for the last year, first by an art historian, then by someone who works for that very organisation high up.
Hope and courage instantly restored because art is a kind of real life magic.
