A husband. Father of 3. MBA. I am interested in technology, software development, the operating systems Android, ChromeOS & iOS/iPadOS, cars and light aircraft.
And, I say this as a guy that daily drives a Pixel 10 but also uses an iPhone 13 Mini secondary phone. No bias here.

I am just waiting for the day where some belligerent person screenshots that, then posts it and calls me a fake because I am talking about some Pixel related thing and he/she sees "App Store" in that info section, so I must really be an iOS user only!

"Oh, no! You found me out!"

You would think it would properly show which client device/ecosystem you are connecting to their servers with. But nope. It is just some static value that can be pretty misleading.

Did I say "pretty misleading" above? Wow, sounds perfect for that platform then.

How about create a filter for only main conversations to appear in the list of conversations? OR dedicated tabs in the bottom button bar that only show the threads OR the main conversations. Cripes, anything would be better at this point.

Fix this unusable mess, now, @Google.

You CAN unfollow threads and they disappear but they still technically exist.

What is even more annoying is that there is a filter button to only SHOW THE THREADS, but there is no such button to do the opposite and only show the main conversations, which is such a stupid design.

Love my Steam Deck OLED! I bet I would love a Steam Machine!

Yeah. The main thing I dislike on iOS 26.1 on my iPhone 13 Mini is RAM management. Apps that I used a few minutes ago are reloading and it is getting harder to ignore.

Battery life is definitely down from iOS 18.7.1, as well, but not terribly so. Maybe an hour or so. #iOS26.

Day 3 on iOS 26.1 on my iPhone 13 Mini. Battery life is definitely not bad. I would say slightly worse than iOS 18.7.1. But I am still testing.

RAM management has definitely taken a hit. Apps reload noticeably more often but the CPU powers through reloading. #iOS26. #iPhone13.

The one thing I dislike is the Liquid Glass clock on my black space lock screen wallpaper has turned the font that was previously red to an extremely dark burgundy. It kinda looks like congealed blood.

I have to mess with that to fix it. Otherwise it has been fine? #iOS26.

I honestly can not believe I did this.

Word to the wise, folks, never perform an update when you are tired.

Definitely a far cry from the heat generated from the Pixel 6a and P7 in our household that are now gone to a new home. Lol.
