There were two things that stuck with me from my most recent chat with my therapist that I'd like to share. First, my therapist was telling me how on a trip to the Amazon, she came across a line of ants that she followed. (1/🧵) 💙

Let’s make one thing clear from the start: Charlie Kirk was the victim of a shooting in a country where he, along with other right-wing extremist influencers, have been inciting violence for years. — Kirk is neither a martyr nor a hero, he is a cause.

I'm so proud of my little town!
Milan, Michigan kneels to #NoKings!
Our little town got over 211 people out ... over 3.5% of the town population!

Happy Birthday to the Faux King. Nobody serves you here.

I haven't posted in a while, but this really resonated.

"I'm asking you to believe not in my ability to bring about change, but in yours."

We are the ones that we have been waiting for. Stand strong today.

Reading is the key, and the gateway, to so many important things. Protect it.
It's not the first time I've said this, and it won't be the last. Reading is fundamental to freedom. 💙📚

The reason drug prices are high comes down to several things (a🧵 based on data from @ylepidemiologist.bsky.social )

Unlike other countries, the U.S. government can't do anything to negotiate drug prices, and there are no laws that dictate how much profit drug companies are allowed to make. 1/🧵

This "germ denial" theory has dark implications. There are people in the MAHA movement who are suggesting that the real reason people die from illness is because their "unhealthy diet" or "lack of exercise" caused damage to their immune system. 1/🧵

This is excellent news!
Originally from Chicago, Prevost spent decades as a missionary in Peru & is seen as one of the least “American” of the American cardinals. Still, his deep understanding of the U.S. makes him a timely pick in the Trump era.
His most recent tweet was a repost criticizing Trump’s immigration policies.

"Secretary of State Marco Rubio has increasingly instructed officials to push for regulatory approvals for Musk’s satellite firm at a moment when the White House is calling for wide-ranging talks on trade."

This makes me feel sick. ICE is targeting people at their most vulnerable, and it's absolutely despicable.

The Trump Regime stationed Border Guards at a Maternity Ward in order to deport a woman who was giving birth.
While now released, the woman named only as 'Erika', was denied a change to speak to a lawyer and her future remains in question.

what if we put the people breaking laws and ignoring court orders into jail? is that an option? we can apparently do it to people who haven't broken any laws and are just too brown, so I have to assume we can do it to people who are actually doing bad shit, right?

I hate it here.

While the gospels say that Judas led the Romans to Jesus, a new theory is gaining traction with some Biblical scholars. There is evidence, some say, that Judas merely shared Christ's location on an insecure group chat that accidentally included several Roman officials and journalists.

70 Michigan students are facing deportation. No explanation. No due process. Just revenge.

This is Trump making good on his threat to punish student protestors—and using immigration as his weapon.

Authoritarianism isn’t coming. It’s already here.

Hey Bluesky, how many of us dreamt of having a Tesla prior to Jan 20, 2025? Please don't be an asshat to car owners. They are us. They car about the climate and reducing fossil fuels and emissions.
