I think GDScript is a great scripting language but trying to design user-facing interfaces (and using those interfaces - see trying to interact with non-GDExtension plugins) is really hard to do intuitively

this screenshot is an extremely edge-case edge case but it's one that needs to be handled...

minecraft movie spoilers, i guess

what a beautiful creation

(as someone who obviously works in 3D production this is just how anything unfinished looks, but god it's still funny that we got this somehow)

i shouldn't be allowed to write macro code, what is this abomination

surely there's an easier way of doing this, maybe i'm washed, maybe i'm cooked, maybe i've completely lost the sauce. i can't program anymore. i'm going to the hills to learn how to harvest the morning dew, idfk

i can't show the rest of the room but some more sneaky peaks

i made a little panini (post) projection shader so i can crank up the FOV to help with percieving the scale of the room, without it getting all warped. This is a 120° FOV

i love that the godot gizmos are affected by the glow of the environment

I do think the correct solution is to just build it out of normal godot UI nodes, rather than trying to build it like a real tui (using unicode line drawing characters), since you have way more control over the exact look

but it still feels pretty hard to make stuff like this...

i've spent the past week in bed sick (again, no surprises there) so a tiny amount of personal work is about the best i can manage at the moment
