The OVA is definitely worth watching! And yeah, the physical manga has been on my wishlist for a while, just need to wait for the right moment to finally get them. That and the Aria manga are what I want the most.

Pretty unimpressed so far as well. A decade ago, I remember wishing for a Ginpachi-sensei anime, and it feels surreal actually seeing it happen, but it's sadly so unremarkable and all the characters have been reduced to being a specific gag, that gets old fast without the variety that Gintama offers

There are, and they are quite fun too. They are essentially a different take on the games.
