Working in a library maintaining the book collection, I handle a lot of books published in the last 90 years. This author blurb from a non-comic 1990s UK travel memoir is unlike any I have ever seen.

Wanted to let @theauthorguy.bsky.social know that me and Momo are enjoying Anima Rising, even if our library has decided that a 1911 Vienna setting counts as science fiction if there's a Frankenstein monster involved. Fwiw, the MWS Frankenstein is classed in regular fiction, not SF.

1) no i didn't pay to read this
2) that last boilerplate line of the cut and paste I got this from should be given some sort of irony award.

A US senator proposed a wealth cap of $50 million. Some economists said it would either result in little help for the poor, or would hurt the economy further.

This was in *1934*. Can you imagine how much money 50 mill was then, and that there were people who had that much during the *Depression*?

I am really looking forward to seeing the rest of Ikea's "Everything Everywhere All at Once" multiverse collection.

Or maybe there are people who see this candlestick and DON'T think it looks like hot dogs?

Wait, are you *this* Jon Walker?

It's #caturday here in #WarRavagedPortland, where the sunspot is on that rug Chaz likes.

Also he's feeling better now, with no vomiting in the last week.

Who got a set list after tonight's Sparks show? Me, a fan for 3 decades.

At the vet with Chaz who has been vomiting often over the last few days. Most plausible explanation is thyroid issues that can be treated with meds.

I took this pic for the goose sticker, but the Costco hotdog + Jake makes this an ultimate PNW vehicle.
