They could easily refurbish some of these closed schools into temporary housing.
Many of them have the infrastructure for industrial kitchens, showers, laundry, etc. They can set hallways for women & children, men, etc. There's enough rooms and officers to set up differnet services and supports.

chatbots exploit the ELIZA effect, which is rooted in a well known psychological vulnerability. we shouldn’t turn our attention away from its dangerous influence on human agency.
Did the guy do wrong? Yes, definitely. But pull back a bit. This same behavior has existed for far longer than ChatGPT. Before, it was video games. Before that, music. Before that, movies, cartoons, books. ChatGPT is just the latest in a long line of scapegoats instead of personal responsibility.

To add on to this, laws work mostly as a set of norms people are afraid to trespass against. But, they only actually work when they’re tested if they can be enforced and the combination of broad presidential immunity, an enabling congress, and pardon powers means they don’t exist
Laws aren't real. They exist solely on account of buy-in from society's participants. Once one side disengages, you no longer reside in a society based on laws. You live in a society based on power and armed force. I am begging folks to accept this so we can get moving.
