I keep a good supply of candles, two head torches, a power torch and the rechargeable lamp tops, plus a camping stove handy - and hot water bottles!
We also have a log burner because we have no gas here

very rural, undulating landscape, sub stations tend to flood in very wet weather, long runs of supply and all that

they're brilliant. They come with a kind of spike fitting too so if they won't fit over a bottle they'll fit inside it. Have warm light or bright options
