Excellent article. I completely agree with you. Professor Brittney Cooper made the point in a thread yesterday that people are losing their ability to recognize context. This is key for understanding history and literature. AI manipulation of Frederick Douglass’ photos rob them of that.

A community organization does Pie for Breakfast every year downstairs at the church (aka the space in town with a kitchen) on the same day as the Historical Society's plant sale and it is The Best Day. You get some breakfast pie, some onion starts, and then take home a pie. For charity.
