okay i have the brain cells to write down my thoughts now.
and what i think is, we as "media consumers" are so used to genre conventions, so when an author/creator deliberately tried to be subversive, the only time we'll be able to realize it is after the story end

i have something to say about how horror and non horror fans struggled to confront how men can be just as vulnerable and weak in abnormal situations too in horror genre, in regards to how some people respond to yoshiki's fear and him deciding not to take the "anti-hero" path
