Another drive down to the Gulf of Mexico.
When in Grand Isle, Louisiana, look for the Lafitte Woods Preserve. Very cute. Unfortunately the Irises are blooming now, so you may have to wait til next year to see them. But rumor has it that its a nice spot for birders. Bring lots of bug repellent.

Chenier Caminada Cemetary at the end of the edge of the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana. There had been a rain storm come through, so the ground was saturated and the mosquitoes were abundant. So, I opted to NOT try going in. (Maybe next time we visit Grand Isle)
