this win was deeply personal to me
Beyoncé is the first Black woman to win album of the year this century, and the fourth in Grammy history. It was her fifth nomination for the show’s top award. “It’s been many, many years,” she said in her acceptance speech for “Cowboy Carter.” nyti.ms/3Cz84Ee

I have…thoughts.
i hate to be a monocausal guy but i really think this discussion of masculinity, trade school, the gendering of education etc is beating around the bush. male democrats have seen no sizable drop in their desire to attend college. female republicans have. it’s about politics.

Dear people who don’t use the Oxford comma:

It’s never too late to do the right thing. Everyone makes mistakes, and we shouldn’t be judged solely by our pasts. What matters is the here and now. So come over to the right side of history for a fresh, new, and beautiful beginning.

Now that I’m back home in Louisiana, I’m reminded that if a Southerner begins any statement with, “And listen, I just love her to death,” you’re about to hear the sharpest, most backhanded comment ever spoken.
