Film developed locally in North Phoenix.
It’s finally not a million degrees in the desert, so we can start hiking again.

Took these on a hike in North Phoenix this morning on 4x5 and the digital camera.

Can you tell which are which?

I think there’s between 50-100 postcards in this series so let’s see how many I can get.

The difference 86 years makes.

It’s quite strange - everything in the kit seems to be at varying levels of “completeness” for production. I reached back out to the seller hoping he has any more information.

To further add to the mystery, the set it came with has a Mamiya Prism finder that I also cannot seem to find an image of online.

Anyone familiar enough with these Mamiya C series cameras to know anything about this C3-S? I’ve seen plenty of these cameras but I can’t seem to find anything about the “S” badging on it.

Making some progress on these gold tin types. It’s quite a bit different from the glass dry plates.

There’s a very real chance I mess up every one of these lol

I’m a sucker for the way the deserts look on LomoChrome Purple

Looking north from South Mountain during the recent monsoon. Shot on Pentax 6x7

I struggle finding ways to share these panoramic negatives, but they sure do look good, don’t they?

Taken at South Mountain looking north across most of the city of Phoenix. The monsoons were pretty active that day.

Shot on Fuji G617 on Kodak Ektar.

Sometimes the shots you take to finish a roll actually end up being pretty good.

Happy World Photography Day

Here are a few favorites on 4x5 from our last trip to Kaua’i.

A few more panoramic shots from the Fuji. These are on @ilfordphoto.com’s Delta film. Delta 100 @ 400 & 3200 @ 800.

All handheld, which you can imagine got me more than a few glances on the street lol.

I always like trying new films, and I was fortunate enough to snag a few rolls of some Agfa Aviphot 200 NIR film from The Celluloid Collective. Check them out for cool (often expired) films.

I really like the way these photos from Point Loma turned out. The 6x7 never disappoints.

I don’t know how best to share these images, so here you go.

Does the G617 eat film? Sure. Is it a beast to shoot handheld? Yeah. Is it worth it? You tell me.

We had a chance to escape the heat this weekend in San Diego for a family trip.

These are from a day at the Hotel Del Coronado - shot on @cinestillfilm.bsky.social 400D on the Pentax 6x7.

Opened in 1888, the historic hotel is one of the oldest structures in the San Diego area.

I want to like @harmanphoto.co.uk’s Phoenix II, but I struggled with color consistency on my first roll. Probably my scanning process.

Beyond excited to have snagged a roll of Aerochrome from The Celluloid Collective this morning.

A rare chance to shoot a rare film. Now the hardest choice: where to shoot it?

Lake Pleasant, despite its name, is actually a dangerous place for recreation. Each year, at least 10 people drown in the waters.

It’s very easy to overestimate your own abilities, and you should always be wearing a life vest.

Spent some time out at Lake Pleasant yesterday shooting some film. Eagerly looking forward to summer ending and being able to get out and hike safely.

Shot a 2nd test roll with the Fuji G617 we picked up recently. The first roll was blurry, and I was about to send it for service before I realized the pressure plate was set to 220.

Fun fact - it was last serviced in 1989 by Tempe Camera, who I visit weekly. Their late owner did the repair himself
