MAGA Christians are heretical in other ways. Note that no Nicene denomination is going to claim that the Torah has spiritual jurisdiction over Christians.

Believe what? The stories don't place money lenders at the Temple, so why must you? You can also just not use Xtian anti-Jewish polemics to score points, even against fictional characters like whatever a Badenoch is.

Christ, you're the type of guy who likes his own skeets.

Either Jesus was doing anti-Jewish terrorism there or it wasn't about doing currency exchange or selling sacrificial animals. Those are the options. What Jewish Temple practices have to do with Xtian churches raising money, I've no idea.

Jesus wouldn't have been able to enter the Temple proper, nor would he have found many Pharisees had been able to do so.

Ok. That's a really gross series. Just contemptible stereotyping and villainizing of Jews. I hope the creators feel shame for it someday.

The only interactions Jesus has with money lenders are parables, where he presents them in a positive light (weird, right? but no one said he was perfect)

Your memory needs refreshed. There were no money lenders in the story you have in mind.
November 29, 2025 at 4:25 AM
There were no money lenders at the Temple. That's an antisemitic medieval invention.
November 29, 2025 at 4:25 AM
She did get it wrong. There were no money lenders at the Temple, and the money changers were there to facilitate people participating in the Temple cult, including making donations that went towards supporting the poor in and around Jerusalem. Jesus disrupted that, for mysterious reasons.
November 29, 2025 at 4:24 AM
It's unfortunate that your teacher used the antisemitic medieval invention that there were money lenders involved. But fyi on the rest of the story, the money changers weren't doing anything wrong. Xtians just didn't like how Judaism worked.
November 29, 2025 at 4:22 AM
Yeah, Jesus definitely would have been a scab.

Wait, is this the same linguistic thing that gives rise to "hobbitses" in Tolkien??
