Most new antibiotics released in the last 20 years haven’t paid back their development costs. The antibiotic market is such that developing new antibiotics is rarely financially viable.

Sadly, the big challenges to developing new antibiotics are economic. We have identified plenty of antibiotic candidates but most companies in this space can’t make it financially due to poor returns on antibiotics.

I once cleared a tick in some organic solvent (I forget which) and got good images of it. I imagine most insects are pretty autofluorescent. Also chlorophyll autofluorescence and pollen.

Also, it seems kind of unpredictable? Like one session used an hour of API time and one used 10 minutes and they cost about the same?
