Exactly right:

“More disease means a much larger market for the supplements and miracle cures he and his friends are selling. More disease means there will always be a need for MAHA. More disease means more death, and the body count will be the achievement by which Kennedy’s legacy is measured.”
Every day is a new opportunity for RFK Jr to make more kids susceptible to more preventable diseases, and every day is a new opportunity for us to stop this culty fucking creep from killing more of our kids

a lot of words, none of them denying that Hegseth gave an order to kill helpless people who were stranded at sea after he blew up their boats

It is incredibly dangerous that universities are signing agreements that tie purported measures against antisemitism to rolling back diversity in admissions and excluding trans people from basic facilities.

This ends terribly for everyone.

Absolutely. Doing this remotely with drones or bombs is no different than pulling up in a boat and shooting them in the water. If this isn’t an illegal order, hard to imagine what could be.
And unlike some of the finer questions of “was the president’s inherent Art 2 powers in play”, shouldn’t offing people who are hors de combat be clearly known to be an illegal order all the way down the line to the lowest Seaman?

Northwestern bent the knee, choosing to give in to extortion at the expense of academic freedom.

Among the provisions:
-Pay a big bribe
-Give the govt data on students
-Validate BS about "fighting antisemitism"
-Be cruel to trans students

What to do about Vichy universities (now, later, or both)?

If there is a Dem Congress and President, I think the best route is much simpler. Congress can pass, and the President sign, ordinary legislation declaring that Trump's pardons are void, and then strip courts' jurisdiction to review. And then send the cops to get them.
Mass pardons are coming. There will be no accountability without treating those as null and void. And that means a future administration taking an official position that Trump is not the legitimate president right now because he is disqualified by the 14th Amendment. The two things are inextricable.

You're not seeing the defense and international conflict experts disagreeing because if the facts are true, it's one of the most basic things in the law of armed conflict: You cannot kill people who are "hors de combat," taken out of the game by injury or attack. This is Geneva 101 stuff.
I follower a few defense experts.

Seeing them all straight-up declare this a war crime without any him-and-hawing is uhm

Disconcerting.

Pete Hegseth must resign, as does Stephen Miller. Donald Trump should be subpoenaed before Congress to answer for HIS policy.

Northwestern’s student body simply doesn’t fit what they agreed to. Good luck getting all those highly intelligent, head strong students to agree to any of this.
TL;DR: basically the same contemptible garbage as all the other schools, anti-trans, anti-protest, more restrictive on admissions than the court held in SFFA. 75 million dollar tribute payment. At least no surveillance of teaching evaluations I guess?

In case you’re wondering why Pete Hegseth is freaking out about a congressional video reminding the military not to participate in illegal orders:
To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.
Textbook war crime/extrajudicial killing

"Two survivors were clinging to the smoldering wreck. The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack ... ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions."

Trump administration officials are 100% absolutely going to order the murder of American citizens at some point, in addition to people overseas, and every single one of these people needs to know that they will be held accountable, and hopefully it’s spend the rest of their lives in prison for this.

It should go without saying, but the president has no authority to do this, and anyone reporting the story needs to say as such.
