I've heard some shitty dubs in my time and this might be the absolute worst I've ever heard
The only thing less human than these AI dub performances is the decision to sign off on them

A company this big can pay human actors a decent wage, not produce slop that intentionally removes the human element.

I think I became convinced that most of the United States is an anti-human hellscape when I worked in refugee resettlement. Seeing that Afghan family who went from rural Kandahar to the Red Roof Inn off the interstate. The look on their faces when I dropped them off. Dark fucking shit.
Listen, I was there when the first afghans evacuees got off the plane at Dulles in late July 2021. But a few months later we had nice liberals in the community asking us if they could host a Ukrainian family. "What about Afghan or Congolese?"

"Oh, no thanks"

Racist fucking country, man

Yea I'm gonna need to see the body cams on this one
According to NYPD (I couldn’t verify this with anyone else, no one seems to have seen what happened), a man approached where the demo/cops were and began “smacking” cops on the arms, provoking cops to take him down. They apparently made him go unconscious for some time.

When NYPD took him down, —

14. The government artificially restricting court “sitting days” - effectively closing perfectly usable courtrooms and forcing judges to stay at home, to make a tiny saving on court staff.

This happened regularly under the last government. The new lot are still doing it.

2. The court forgetting to book an interpreter for a defendant.

Another perennial. Every day in every court building.

See also: the court booking an interpreter, and the interpreter just not turning up.

1. The defendant not being produced at court from prison. 🚚

A classic. It happens due to the private contractors simply not bothering, knowing that the contracts negotiated by government include no meaningful penalty for failure.

Trials every day in every court are affected.

This analysis is no more complicated than "Big number bad" and should be treated with absolute, withering contempt and revulsion until these people are too ashamed to come back out in public.
Tim’s big simple idea here is “What if we just wreck the postwar settlement and then let people starve and die” and this time, when the disaster looms, just let them starve and die. Let’s face it, eventually one of these governments is going to pull the trigger once and for all.

According to local Syrian media, the IDF which occupies all of Palestine, much of southern Lebanon, and huge swathes of southwestern Syria, attempted to arrest a Syrian civilian tonight in Beit Jinn but was met with resistance from the locals, and in turn the IDF killed two people via airstrike.
Deleted last post because the battle in Beit Jinn is apparently still ongoing

The same occupation army that shot and killed multiple Israeli Jews in Gaza who were waving white flags and begging to be rescued— one of them specifically was hunted down and shot.
There’s a video going around of Israeli Border Patrol soldiers firing at two Palestinians in Jenin who’ve already surrendered to them (they were combatants, which doesn’t make this okay).

The working assumption has to be that this isn’t an isolated incident.

US Citizenship and Immigration Services is indefinitely halting all immigration requests involving Afghan refugees.

They are pretending that they are doing this in response to today's shooting in DC—but in fact, they ordered this *before* the shooting.

They create crises, then capitalize on them.
The folks at @afghanevac.bsky.social have in hand a new USCIS directive which largely targets Afghan refugees who fled the Taliban in the wake of the U.S. withdrawal in 2021.

In case you needed a reminder that the most loathsome people in the world work for DHS.
