This was in a newsletter that I received today (from an academic institution source). I don't know who Alec is but I am quite certain that their premise is wrong. Maybe AI Boosters are flooding the field with a variety of 💩, we can simply ignore that misleading discourse...

I'm evaluating the Google AI Essentials on C__rsera (to see if need to subject students to it) and I think I broke the AI Coach 😂. Yes, typos were unintentional, but it keeps things authentic.

Invited our Admin to a multiunion town hall (and pizza party) to discuss what's happening ok the national stage and how it impacts us, and I guess they ghosted us 👻. Guess they don't want to do their part for our progressive state university 🤔

Instead of wasting money on Copilot and other 🐂💩 "AI", maybe microsoft should focus on providing a better spellchecker for the O365 webmail client. I've used the word "assistantship" hundreds of times correctly in the past 15 years, yet when I mistype something I get 💩suggestions...

I am at the point where I see CFPs (journal special issues or books) and my guts tells me "do it!" but the rest of me says "oooooffff...you need a break" - I accept that I am not in an academic role, so I don't have to do any of this, but the FOMO has yet to turn to JOMO. Where's my inner Waldorf?

A good afternoon laugh. Then again, I never really got why teachers/professors/lecturers don't have actual paid vacation time (in the US, don't know what happens elsewhere).
