ICYMI: 3 districts in Kern County, CA earned Platinum & Gold status from CA PBIS. Beyond this recognition, they made meaningful change in how students, parents, staff, and administrators experienced school climate -- AND in student academic performance. 👏

Love this quote from a Rowan-Salisbury Schools educator, reflecting on their school team's progress over the past few months. Change is hard and the process is often messy, but we believe that transformation happens when we commit to ongoing incremental improvement over time.

In the indigenous Maori culture of New Zealand, a koru is the unfurling frond of the silver fern, a spiral form that represents growth, positive change, and new beginnings. Starting the year with renewed purpose and commitment.

Back in Miami with The Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart this week. Inspiring to see faculty across all disciplines from Montessori-12th grade as they make connections to how critical thinking shows up for their students and context. Love this example from Visual and Performing Arts.

A peek into how one of our partners has adopted norms for collaborative work, and invited teams from all disciplines across Montessori-12th grade to make them their own. "Find comfort in the gray and ambiguous" - so resonant! Sets expectations AND makes space for learning/uncertainty.

One middle school team is exploring how students use strategies across domains (reading, writing, listening, speaking) to support vocabulary. Loved how they posed this question, and how students shared thoughtfully about what they like to read and why.
