Their future seems rather grim.
But yeah, six months in the hospital is unbelievable. There have been some changes recently they may hopefully indicate her blood-brain barrier has finally healed. Even if not, I would love to avoid all the 緊急入院 we've had over the past year.

Past tense being the key point there. Will it be enough for the next generation of translators? And who is doing the work right now? Young adults working with ML plug-ins working for almost nothing? Are they going to learn anything? I was thinking about this while I riding my bike around today.

I'm going to start cutting back on non-essentials next year since I think things in general are going to get worse before they get better.

And I hope I have too. This actually would have been an okay year if my daughter hadn't spent over 6 months in the hospital.

Obviously that thesis doesn't really hold up well. Especially not if a dump truck is going to back up to your house and dump a bunch of pounds in royalties on you.
What he meant to say was that you can't rely on being a generalist. You need to fit a profitable niche. And I hope you have!
